About

Stories you can feel. Music you can see.

DRYEYE Film is a Slovak production company that brings together powerful cinematic storytelling and immersive live concert experiences. Founded by producer Igor Engler, the company operates at the intersection of film production and orchestral performance, producing both feature films and large-scale film concerts that combine cinema with live symphonic music.

Stories you can feel.

DRYEYE’s film division focuses on visually driven, socially resonant narratives. Its debut feature, Promise, I’ll Be Fine (Hore je nebo, v doline som ja, 2024), premiered at top international festivals including Tokyo TIFFCOM and Beijing IFF, and was selected for a special screening at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. Igor served as both writer and producer on the film, which was praised for its intimate portrayal of identity and generational trauma in a rural Slovak setting. He is also involved in the upcoming Raklo (2025), co-produced with NOCHI Film, which explores the coming-of-age story of a young Romani boy in Central Europe. In addition to feature films, Igor has worked on creative development for documentaries and hybrid projects, always seeking out strong visual language and authentic voices.

Founder and producer Igor Engler studied filmmaking in London and is currently pursuing his postgraduate degree at the prestigious National Film and Television School (NFTS) in the UK. His multidisciplinary background includes writing, directing, and development, as well as international co-productions. Igor’s approach bridges narrative sensitivity with strong aesthetic control, and he remains deeply engaged in discovering new forms of storytelling, with a particular focus on underrepresented voices and experimental formats. His work reflects a unique fusion of Central European realism and contemporary cinematic language.

DRYEYE is also a leading force in the production of film concerts – screenings of iconic films performed with live orchestras. Under the leadership of Tibor Engler, Head of Concert Productions, the company has brought internationally acclaimed titles such as Harry Potter Film Concert Series to audiences in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Hungary, with sold-out performances and growing demand.

Tibor Engler is an experienced orchestra tour manager, having worked in 2024 on the BBC’s Planet Earth III Live in Concert tour. As trained musician and conductor, Tibor brings unique insight to the artistic and logistical dimensions of live performance. Having performed on international film music tours himself, he now applies his experience to leadership roles on and off the stage. In 2025, he made his conducting debut in Prague, premiering Charlie Chaplin in Concert, a live orchestral screening of Chaplin’s silent classic – marking a major milestone in his career as an emerging conductor.
